(6-Adult) A naturalist takes you on a relaxing stroll through the park at dusk to tour the woods and wetlands to watch and listen for beavers, owls and other nocturnal residents. Children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the program.

(Adults) Take an evening stroll through the forest to one of the park's largest meadows. We'll listen for the call of the male woodcock and hopefully see his amazing courtship dance and flight. Bring a flashlight. Approximately 1.5 mile walk on uneven terrain. Canceled if rain.

Celebrate spring by learning to spot early bright signs of seasonal change, while learning how to draw outdoors. We will be reading sections of 'The Forest Unseen' by David George Haskell and taking a 1.5 mile walk to the wetland. (12-Adult) What is that awakening noise we hear in the park this time of year? It's our lively vernal pools filled with frog and salamander larva and adults! Learn all about Huntley Meadows' vernal pool habitats and visit a vernal pool to draw it's inhabitants. Meets at the South Kings Hwy entrance.

(4-15yrs.) Come learn about the largest rodent in North America and touch real beaver fur, feet, and bones. How did the wetland first form? Then let's go for a walk to hopefully get a glimpse of a live beaver!
