TITLE: Birds of Shenandoah National Park
DESCRIPTION: Includes van transportation. Travel to Shenandoah National Park for a guided trip. Our naturalist guide will point out migrating warblers and other birds such as veerys, tangers, ravens and turkeys. You may also spot bear, deer and other wildlife. Bring a bag lunch, water and binoculars. Dress for the weather. Trip includes a moderate hike. Van departs from Ellanor C. TITLE: Cathedral State Park Giant Trees (16+)
DESCRIPTION: Includes transortation. Join a naturalist for a van trip to Cathedral State Park in West Virginia. This park has the states largest old-growth forest and contains the only stand of virgin hemlock in West Virginia. Designated a National Natural Landmark, this 133-acre park offers sanctuary for these ancient trees, as well as 170 species of trees, ferns and wildflowers. We will walk amongst these giants and enjoy the wildlife that lives among them. Bring your lunch and water and wear good hiking shoes.
