TITLE: Night Kayaking (13-Adult)
DESCRIPTION: Enjoy Lake Accotink after dark in a kayak. Many nocturnal animals come out after dark and the view from a kayak is a great way to see them. Bring flashlights and dress for the activity.

TITLE: Orienteering Workshop
DESCRIPTION: (8-Adult) Orienteering is the sport of navigation with map and compass. It's easy to learn, but always challenging. Participants learn how to use a compass, read a topographic map and navigate orienteering courses. Compass required.

TITLE: Potomac Discovery/River Kayaking 16+
DESCRIPTION: (16-Adult) Join a naturalist for a combo adventure that expands your knowledge of kayaking and amazing wildlife along the Potomac River from Brunswick to Point of Rocks, MD. Learn proper equipment fit, boat outfitting, safe launching and landing along a wide, shallow stretch with a slow current perfect for beginners. Trip takes about four hours paddled at a leisurely pace with a stop for lunch. Park and meet the shuttle to Brunswick at the Point of Rocks, MD river access ramp. Kayak, paddle, life vest lunch and drinks are provided.

TITLE: Potomac Float and Fish (14-Adult)
DESCRIPTION: Spend the day fishing from a kayak as we paddle from Algonkian Regional Park to Riverbend in search of smallmouth bass. A naturalist leads you to the best holes on this scenic stretch of undeveloped river. Kayak and fishing experience is recommended. Tackle provided; rods available for rent. Bring a bag lunch. Canceled if inclement weather or hazardous river conditions. VA/MD fishing license required for anglers age 16 and older.

TITLE: River Fishing by Boat (5-Adult)
DESCRIPTION: Fish for smallmouth bass and sunfish from a canoe or jon boat. Get started with an introduction to boating and fishing basics. Previous experience rowing or paddling not required. Boats and PFDs provided. Fishing rods and bait provided. Canceled if inclement weather or hazardous river conditions. Maximum three participants per boat, one of whom must be 16 or older. Each participant must register.

TITLE: Wagon Ride to Poohsticks Bridge
DESCRIPTION: (2-Adult) Meet at the Nature Center. Journey through the woods to Poohsticks bridge. Listen to Winnie the Pooh's story and play Poohsticks on the bridge. Children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the program.
