TITLE: Scotts Run Bird Watching for Beginners
DESCRIPTION: Birding is a hobby that can last a lifetime and parks are a great place to start your adventure. This class will cover birding basics including how to use binoculars and other equipment, the importance of a field guide, and other strategies for identifying different types of birds. Meet at the west parking lot. There are no facilities at Scott's Run Nature Preserve.

TITLE: Scotts Run Leave No Trace Workshop
DESCRIPTION: Participants receive introductory training in the Leave No Trace outdoor skills and ethics program, which is applicable to all outdoor enthusiasts and all environments. Workshop topics include the underlying concept of minimum-impact recreation and the seven principles of Leave No Trace. Meet at the west parking lot. There are no facilities at Scott's Run Nature Preserve.

TITLE: Scotts Run Nature Preserve Hike
DESCRIPTION: Take a 3 mile naturalist-led hike in this beautiful nature preserve along the Potomac River. This hike over moderate terrain will highlight the natural features, scenic overlooks and the waterfall of Scott's Run. Bring water. Meet at the west parking lot. There are no facilities at Scott's Run Nature Preserve.
