Birding on the Bay, DE
DESCRIPTION: Includes transportation and guide. Surprisingly wild and beautiful, the Delaware Bay, located between New Jersey and Delaware on the Atlantic Ocean, attracts a wonderful diversity of geese, ducks, swans, small shorebirds, eagles and, in winter, a rare Snowy Owl. Let our experienced birders show you to the special places where these birds seek rest and refuge in the cold winter months. Stops may include Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge, Woodland Beach, Little Creek Wildlife area and Cape Henlopen State Park. Bring binoculars and a bag lunch to eat on the way. Dress for the weather. Van departs from Packard Center, Annandale District Park at 7am and returns 5pm.
