03/25/18 By & By brings impressive vocals, smooth string playing and amazing energy to bluegrass from Bill Monroe to Nickel Creek. Their original songs reflect on the band's surroundings, pulling from the fast-paced, dymanic and engaged culture of Washington DC. Their music has roots that dig through the traditions of bluegrass, folk, Americana and rock-n-roll to create a sound uniquely theirs. Their first album, Get It While You Can, received seven nominations for Washington Area Music Association awards. Doors open at 6pm and showtime is at 7pm. The series at the park's Visitor Center is sponsored by the Friends of Frying Pan Park and Vienna Hardwoods in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority. Food & drinks are available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
