Bluegrass-Mile Twelve
01/28/18 Mile Twelve is a fresh, hard-driving young band beautifully walking the line between original and traditional bluegrass. Fast gaining recognition for their outstanding performances in bluegrass and folk circles, Evan Murphy, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Nate Sabat, BB Bowness and David Benedict write captivating songs and daring instrumental pieces from diverse influences. Doors open at 6pm and showtime is at 7pm. The series at the park's Visitor Center is sponsored by the Friends of Frying Pan Park and Vienna Hardwoods in cooperation with the Fairfax County Park Authority. Food and drinks are available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.

Groundhog's Day Out (2-Adult)

Virginia Farms
(12-Adult) For this latest installment of Virginia Farms, Cory from Suters Glen Permaculture Homestead will educate us on a type of agriculture system called permaculture. The permaculture philosophy strives to create sustainable farming systems by utilizing practices found in nature. Participants will enjoy a 30-45 minute presentation then tour around the farmhouse as Cory suggests various types of food-producing landscaping options that can be incorporated into our own home sites.

03/11/18 The Darrell Webb Band brings energy and excitement to the concert stage reaching beyond traditional boundaries. Their brand of entertainment has earned multiple nominations at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards. After a successful career as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist in bands such as Wildfire, Rhonda Vincent & the Rage and Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Darrell Webb formed his self-titled band in 2009. His newest project, Lover's Leap, features three tunes penned by Darrell himself. Doors open at 6pm and showtime is at 7pm.
