Riverbend's meadow was once farmland. Journey back in time and enjoy children's activities from the 1900's and visit the corn crib. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. An adult must be on the wagon with the child. Every person on the wagon must register and pay the program fee.

Women Unplugged Click to Register with Parktakes Online

Start Time/Day:  12:01pm Sun 9am Sat
Unplug and spend the weekend outdoors! Saturday we'll kayak from Algonkian Park to Riverbend and have an outdoor dinner with a bonfire. Spend a night under the stars in your tent or in our Nature Center. Sunday explore birds, edible plants, and learn to shoot a bow and arrow. Bring a bagged lunch and water bottle for Saturday's trip; all other meals are provided. Meet at Riverbend at 8am on saturday. Program ends at 2pm on Sunday. Women only.

Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Enjoy a family night in the park with a campfire and night hike. Bring your camping gear, toasting sticks, and a dinner to cook on toasting sticks over the campfire. Campfire, smores and light breakfast provided. Cancelled if rain. Reservations required one week before program. Please note program ends at 9am Saturday morning.

Enjoy the Fall foilage of the Shenandoah Valley with a day hike. A great way to learn new skills, enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and have fun. Beginning and experienced hikers welcome.
