Celebrate international salamander awareness day by taking a stroll through salamander habitat. Well try to find one or two and delve into the life of these secretive creatures and their role in forest health. Meet at the 6901 S. Kings Hwy. entrance. Please remove all dirt/mud from your shoes before arriving and well spray our shoes on arrival to help prevent pathogens. The walk length is 1.5 miles. No restrooms available at this entrance. Children 16 and under must be registered by accompanied adult.

Learn about the ferns, moss and their allies on a 1.5 mile hike (flat terrain) while keeping a field sketch book. Come take a sketch tour on the wild side of the park...on the longest day of the year! We'll be learning some drawing basics while exploring, by bike, the meadow and forest habitats. The ride is along flat pavement for a total of 3 miles.
